Priorities

I am running for Mayor of Cherry Hills Village  because I want to preserve the unique character of our community.  I am very proud of the work I have done on City Council over the last 10 years, listening to the community, building consensus, and advancing critical projects that had been stalled for years such as the development of City Hall, relocation of Public Works, redesign of John Meade Park, acquisition of Quincy Farm, and undergrounding utilities – all delivering great value to residents without raising taxes. My extensive knowledge and unparalleled experience combined with my proven record of leadership, service and results make me the ideal candidate to guide Cherry Hills Village into the future.

During my term my priorities would be:

  • Protection of our community: Conditions in surrounding areas create pressures on our community including increased crime, traffic, and development. Ensuring the safety of our community and schools and protecting the residential character of our community is my top priority.
  • Parks, trails, and open space: Our natural parks, trails and open spaces are the most valuable resources our community has. Preserving these resources while working to open Quincy Farm to the public and improve trail connectivity will continue to be a priority.
  • City infrastructure: Addressing traffic concerns, undergrounding utilities, improving cell service, and advancing environmentally sustainable infrastructure, through projects like stormwater management, continue to be concerns of our residents and will be priorities for me as Mayor.
  • Financial stability: Continued sound governance and financial stewardship to ensure the long-term stability of our city.

I am the only Mayoral candidate who has demonstrated the leadership necessary to deliver similar large projects on-time, under-budget and without raising taxes.
